Abstract
Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA) is an act out of the hospital whereas according to doctors with medical indications it still require hospitalization and have not been allowed to go home. Regional General Hospital of Kotapinang has high number of DAMA in 2015 as many as 279 people (11.3%), 2016 as many as 312 people (8.6%), and in 2017 as many as 356 people (8%). The type of this research is observational research with case control design. The sample in this research is patients who do Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA) as many as 30 people and patients who come home with the approval of doctors as much as 30 people. Analysis in this research will be done by using chi square test and logistic regression test. The results showed that there is significant correlation between work, knowledge, family income, source of financing and perception of satisfaction on service quality with Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA) at Kotapinang Regional General Hospital. The most dominant variable affecting the Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA) is source of financing because it has the largest regression correlation is the value Exp (β) of 15.392. To the Health Officer of Social Health Care Insurance of Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency to socialize the benefits of being a participant of National Health Insurance so as to reduce the incidence of Self-Paid Home. Regional General Hospital of Kotapinang and Social Health Care Insurance of Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency to coordinate in informing the management of National Health Insurance participants to patients in the hospital who have no health insurance.
