Work fatigue is an occupational health and safety concern that may affect workers’ ability to perform their tasks. Wood-processing activities involving lifting, moving, and stacking timber may impose substantial physical demands. This study aimed to determine the association between workload and work fatigue among workers at CV. Kahwa Jaya Sawmill Jambi. An analytical quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 32 workers. Workload was classified using the percentage of Cardiovascular Load (%CVL), while work fatigue was assessed using the Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) questionnaire. The association was analyzed using the Chi-square test. The proportion of high work fatigue was 92.9% among workers with high workload (%CVL ≥30%), compared with 27.8% among workers with low workload (%CVL <30%). Statistical analysis showed a significant association between workload and work fatigue (p=0.001), with a Prevalence Ratio (PR) of 3.343 and a 95% confidence interval of 1.565–7.140. In conclusion, workload was significantly associated with work fatigue. Workload management, appropriate rest breaks, and ergonomic practices should be considered to help prevent work fatigue.
