Nutrition during infancy and early childhood is a key determinant of physical and cognitive development. Appropriate complementary feeding is required to meet the nutritional needs of infants beyond six months of age, and nutrition assistance interventions have the potential to improve the quality of complementary foods given to children aged 6–24 months. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition assistance interventions on the quality of complementary feeding among children aged 6–24 months at the Siantan Timur Primary Health Center. The review followed the PRISMA guidelines, and several electronic databases were searched to identify relevant studies. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, data were extracted, and the results of eligible studies were analysed. The included studies showed that nutrition assistance significantly improved the quality of complementary feeding, both in nutrient content and in dietary diversity. The risk of bias of the included studies was assessed, and the findings were considered relevant for improving nutrition practice at the Siantan Timur Primary Health Center. Nutrition assistance interventions were effective in improving the quality of complementary feeding among children aged 6–24 months, indicating that such programmes can be integrated into primary health services to support mothers in providing high-quality complementary foods.
