Fire can lead to deaths, economic loss, and environmental damage. Firefighters are the first responders in handling such incidents, therefore preparedness for emergency response is very important. Preparedness may be influenced by personal and workplace factors. This study aimed to determine factors related to fire emergency response preparedness among officers of the Jambi City Fire and Rescue Service in 2025. Variables analyzed were knowledge, attitude, training, work experience, facilities and infrastructure, and physical and mental condition. This research used a quantitative cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 66 officers directly involved in fire suppression, and all were selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets. Analysis included univariate and bivariate tests with chi-square. The findings showed that 77.3% of respondents had high preparedness. Significant relationships were found between preparedness and knowledge (p=0.026), attitude (p=0.037), training (p=0.000), and work experience (p=0.000). Meanwhile, facilities and infrastructure, as well as physical and mental condition, were not significantly related to preparedness. The study concludes that improving preparedness should focus on increasing knowledge, building positive attitudes, providing regular training, and strengthening work experience. Facilities, infrastructure, and physical and mental condition should also be maintained to support operational readiness.
