This condition requires the preparedness of all employees, including healthcare and non-healthcare personnel, in fire prevention and early fire response. This community service activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees at Sembiring General Hospital regarding fire prevention and the proper and safe use of Portable Fire Extinguishers (PFE). The implementation methods included theoretical lectures on potential fire hazards and fire classification, introduction to types of fire extinguishers, as well as simulations and hands-on practice in using PFE. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding and skills in performing initial fire suppression actions. This training is expected to increase staff preparedness and support the creation of a safe and responsive hospital environment in emergency fire situations.
Evfy Septriani Ginting ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.delihusada.ac.id/index.php/JPMPH/article/view/2896 Mon, 30 Mar 2026 06:38:16 SE Asia Daylight Time PENINGKATAN LITERASI KESEHATAN MENTAL MASYARAKAT MELALUI EDUKASI PSIKOLOGIS BERBASIS KOMUNITAS https://ejournal.delihusada.ac.id/index.php/JPMPH/article/view/2898
Mental health is an integral component of overall health that affects individuals’ social, emotional, and productive functioning. However, mental health literacy in the community remains relatively low, as indicated by limited understanding of mental health concepts, early signs of psychological problems, strategies for maintaining mental well-being, and the importance of seeking appropriate help. This condition may reinforce stigma and hinder promotive and preventive efforts in the community. This community service program aimed to improve mental health literacy through community-based psychological education. The program was implemented using an educational and participatory approach consisting of four stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The activities included health education sessions, interactive discussions, simple simulations, and community assistance. The evaluation was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests, observation of participants’ involvement, and participant feedback. The expected outcomes included improved public knowledge of mental health, increased ability to identify early signs of psychological problems, reduced stigma, and greater awareness of maintaining mental well-being and accessing appropriate support services. The indicators of success were reflected in the implementation of activities as planned, active participant engagement, and improved participants’ understanding after attending the program.
Monika Nina Ginting, Sulastri Br Ginting ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.delihusada.ac.id/index.php/JPMPH/article/view/2898 Mon, 30 Mar 2026 06:38:29 SE Asia Daylight Time IMPLEMENTASI ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES (ESP) MELALUI VIDEO EDUKASI BERBAHASA INGGRIS BERSTANDAR INTERNASIONAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN MASYARAKAT TENTANG PERSALINAN AMAN https://ejournal.delihusada.ac.id/index.php/JPMPH/article/view/2899
Public understanding of safe childbirth through the implementation of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) utilizing international-standard English educational videos in Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency is motivated by the persistence of community perceptions and childbirth practices that do not yet fully align with health standards.
