Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is a common health problem that can negatively impact the mother and fetal development. Based on the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI), it was recorded that 27.7% of pregnant women in Indonesia suffer from anemia. This study aims to determine the effect of consuming red spinach juice mixed with honey on increasing hemoglobin (Hb) levels in anemic pregnant women at the Sumiariani Clinic. Primary data were collected through observation sheets before and after the intervention. Using a purposive sampling technique, 16 respondents were selected because they were identified as having anemia. This study used a pretest and posttest design without a comparison group. For one week, respondents were asked to consume a mixture of red spinach juice and honey twice daily, morning and evening. Hb levels were measured using a digital GCHb device. The results showed a statistically significant increase in hemoglobin levels, from an average of 9.63 g/dL to 11.19 g/dL after the intervention, with a p-value <0.05. This indicates that the null hypothesis is rejected and consumption of the combination has a significant effect on increasing Hb. Thus, red spinach juice and honey can be a safe natural alternative treatment for anemia in pregnant women, as long as it is combined with the consumption of nutritious foods rich in iron.
Erlina .
Introduction: Optimal breast milk production is essential to support the growth and development, especially in the early years of life. However, many postpartum mothers experience problems with breast milk production, which can be caused by various factors such as stress, lack of nutrition, and lack knowledge regarding breast care techniques. Oketani massage is a non-pharmacological method that is able to increase prolactin hormone, and stimulate oxytocin hormone and make the breasts smoother and more elastic. Research Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of Oketani massage on breast milk production in postpartum mothers. The research design is a Quasi-Experiment study with one grub pretest-postest design. Sampling was conducted using total sampling with 15 respondents. The research instrument used an observation sheet to measure breast milk production through indicators such as breastfeeding frequency, the number of times the baby urinates, the baby's calmness after breastfeeding, and the baby's weight gain. Research Results: The results obtained from the Paired Sample t-Test obtained a p-value of 0.008, where p < α (0.05), so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepting. Conclusion: It can be concluded that Oketani massage has an effect on breast milk production in postpartum mothers at Fitri Asih Primary Clinic, Kec.Patumbak. Therefore, it is recommended that healthcare workers and postpartum mothers apply Oketani massage as a non-pharmacological method to increase breast milk production in postpartum mothers.
Kristin - NataliaEsterlita Sinuhaji

The Toddler is a golden period of growth and development, which is highly influenced by adequate nutritional intake. Nutritional problems sucs as underweight, wasting, and stunting remain serious public health concerns that effect child growth. These issues are still prevalent in Indonesia, including in Deli Serdang Regency. Deficiencies in macro and micro nutrients sucs as protein, iron, and zinc can lead to growth disorders, one of which is low body weight. This study aimed to analyze the effect of providing supplementary food (PMT) in the form of TEBELO Nuggets ( duck eggs and moringa leaf) on weight gain among toddlers aged 3 – 5 years at Klinik Pratama Kasih Ibi in Deli Tua Districk in 2025. The nuggets were made from duck eggs and moringa leaf flour. The method employed a quantitative approach using a Quasi-Experimental method with a Two group pretest – posttest design. A total sample og 30 toddlers was divided into two groups : 15 in the intervention group and 15 in the control group. The intervention was carried out in April 2025 for 14 days in the form of nuggets rich in protein duck egg and rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from moringa leaves. Results from the Paired Sample T-Test showed a significant difference p value = 0.000, (p value < 0,05 ), indicating that the average weight gain in the intervention group was about 0,7 kg ( from 12,04 kg to 12,74 kg ), while the control group only gained an average of 0,18 kg.
Breast milk (ASI) serves as the main source of nutrition for infants during their first six months, offering a complete range of nutrients, antibodies, essential fatty acids, and hormones. Additionally, breastfeeding helps strengthen the emotional connection between mother and child (Sakinah et al., 2024). In Indonesia, the rate of exclusive breastfeeding for six months remains low at only 32.3%, with North Sumatra recording a slightly higher rate of 40.66% in 2019. Contributing factors to this low prevalence include aggressive marketing of formula milk and breast milk substitutes, as well as limited maternal knowledge about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding (Rianah Hernah et al., 2024).

This research aimed to assess the impact of information delivered through conventional media on postpartum mothers' knowledge and attitudes toward exclusive breastfeeding at Sembiring General Hospital in 2025.
