Abstract

Antenatal care is a government program to reduce maternal mortality by detecting and performing early procedures for complications that may arise at the time of delivery. on 4 times of pregnant mothers visit coverage is the number of pregnant women who have received antenatal care at least four times as the recommended schedule in each trimester. Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Utara is one of three districts in Kota Padangsidempuan with lowest on 4 times of pregnant mothers visit achievement of 76.75%. This study aim determine the factors that influence the achievement of on 4 times of pregnant mothers visit in Sadabuan Public Health Center, Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Utara. This study was a retrospective study with case control design. The study was conducted in work area of Sadabuan Public Health Centre, from December 2017 to May 2018. The population was all mothers who had babies in the work area of Sadabuan Public Health Centre, and 72 of them were used as the samples: 36 of them did not have complete on 4 times of pregnant mothers visit visits and the other 36 taken by using consecutive sampling technique with matching in age and sex. The data were gathered by conducting interviews and questionnaires and analyzed by using multiple logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the attainment of on 4 times of pregnant mothers visit was influenced by attitude (p = 0,009), husband support (p = 0,033), and health officer service (p = 0,020). It is recommended to Health Office of Kota Padangsidimpuan to make SOP guidelines and conduct training on antenatal care program. Public Health Centre is advised to give health promotion to mother and husband about complete antenatal care (K4).
